Due to state and local restrictions regarding COVID-19, the Dallas Scottish Rite’s Scholarship Awards Banquet scheduled for Wednesday, May 6th has been CANCELLED.

The scholarship selection committee has finalized the recipients. Their names are below.  Scholarship checks will be mailed to the recipients soon. Thank you to all the students that applied.

Dallas Scottish Rite Library and Museum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that is active in providing support for community, educational and charitable endeavors. Included in these endeavors is an annual merit-based college scholarship program which also considers the personal needs of graduating high school seniors. The number of scholarships awarded each year is a function of Dallas Scottish Rite Library and Museum. These scholarships will be awarded without regard to gender, race, color, creed, national origin or religion.


This year we are pleased to announce that our Scholarship Awards Banquet will be held May 6, 2020 at 6:30 pm at the Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral, located at 500 S. Harwood St., Dallas, TX 75201.


The scholarship value is $1,000.00.


For a student to be eligible for this scholarship, a completed application form along with all supporting documents must be returned to our office no later than February 28, 2020. The application and supporting documentation must be delivered to us by regular mail or hand delivered to our office. Do not email your application or supporting documents. Emailed applications and supporting documentation will not be accepted.  Our office hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. Candidates who are approved for a scholarship will be contacted by email/mail no later than April 6, 2020.


A completed application packet includes the following:

  • Completed Application.
  • All Transcripts.
  • Copy of SAT or ACT scores, if taken.
  • Two or more personal reference letters.
  • Two or more academic reference letters.
